This was a very small bathroom that the only stipulation was to have kids on a beach. So I sat on the only seat in the room and thought about it. The idea came to me ... from where I was sitting I pretended that I would be standing at a front door of a cottage on the beach, with a white picket fence in front with flowers and climbing vines of ivy and big beautiful blue flowers, as I started sketching the ideas kept coming and the door opened to another never ending story. The client had an old full-length mirror on the back of the door, she said she was going to throw it out and replace it with a new one, because all around the edges it iodized. I told her not to bother that I would just paint over it. I painted 3 colorful birds with vines circling the mirror, this was just a continuation of the wall mural.
